I’m experimenting with the alpha test version of the Autoblue plugin from Daniel Post, which makes it easy to cross post a blog to Bluesky and enables the display of any comments on that post on your blog. Has the advantage of being tied into Bluesky’s moderation system, which so far seems to be doing a pretty good job of filtering out trolls and spammers.
Need to review this again.

Will your plugin post all custom post types as well, or just generic posts?
I’m also wondering if you will extend this feature to custom post types?
@danielpost.com is the plugin author and could answer better
Thank you
@danielpost.com In the first couple of tests, I’ve had to go back and manually add the Bluesky post URL in the WordPress editor before the comments appeared. Or maybe I was too impatient; it didn’t seem to work right away. Still, you’re clearly on the way to creating something fantastic.
Thanks for letting me know! Was that for posts shared with Autoblue? It should automatically pick those up but anything else needs to be added manually (for now). And thank you for the kind words—please keep the feedback coming, it’s super helpful.
Eventually it would also be good if Autoblue made it possible to create and track replies to more than one Bluesky post that links to the same WordPress post. Might want to do a few different post covering different angles on a blog post with rich content
This is all really good feedback, thank you. I want to eventually support multiple accounts, multiple shares etc so I need to figure out how to handle that with comments. E.g. do we want to pick a single post or multiple, if multiple do we combine comments or show separate, etc.
I would also like to see a function or action that could be called from other plugins to trigger a post. From my RSVPMaker for WordPress plugin, it would be handy to schedule promo posts to appear X hours or days in advance of the event, rather than when the event is published.
Looks like the $Bluesky->share_to_bluesky() function is something I could use for the RSVPMaker for WordPress event promo integration I have in mind. I’ll let you know if I can get it working.
A couple of things I would like to see, not necessarily critical for Autoblue V1.0. The text of my initial comment on the Bluesky post promoting the blog post should appear as the first comment, providing context for the subsequent replies.
I had previously shared the post with Autoblue, but I still had to manually enter the post URL before comments were displayed. I just created a new blog post with Autoblue turned on, and it seemed like I had to still manually enter the post URL before comments were displayed.
I just released a tiny fix that should hopefully prevent this from being necessary! Still a little rough around the edges so I appreciate your patience.
